FAQ
Here is a list of frequently asked questions and a deeper explaination of what Eggbox Studios is and what we do.
This list is currently under development
What does Eggbox Studios do?
Eggbox Studios primarily produces photo-real illustrations and animations with 3d computer graphics software. To compliment our 3d services, we also work with photo and video editing software, 2d illustration software and music production tools.
Initially Eggbox Studios worked solely as an architectural visualization studio, however, the areas covered by our expertise has expanded to include product visuals, technical presentations, marketing campaigns and TV commercials.
What makes Eggbox Studios unique?
Probably priorities and scalability.
There's no fancy office, no pretty receptionist, no company cars, no swanky London address and we don't outsource all of our work to the Far East.
What we do have is professional equipment with the knowledge and experience to use it effectively. As with all businesses we need to make money but, unlike some, not at the expense of what's important. Our number one priority is being able to complete projects on time and on budget to the high standard that our clients have come to expect.
What kind of clients do you have?
Our clients range from other creative studios and agencies to small, independent businesses to Fortune 50 corporations. Thanks to our flexible approach we can scale projects to suit most budgets.
3D visualization is not 'cheap' but offers exceptional value for certain industries. Typical clients that benefit from our 3d services include property developers, architects, product designers, design agencies, advertising agencies, marketing agencies, CAD engineers and production companies.
How much do you charge?
Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to give a blanket price.
Project fees are calculated per man-hour + rendering time per CPU-hour. Please send information about your project to

and a formal quotation will be supplied.
What information do you require?
It depends on the project but basically as much information as you can give.
CAD plans, blueprints and/or sketches, photographs, links to similar projects, final delivery size (resolution), delivery medium, how the illustration/animation will be used....
It is also important to know time and budget restrictions. We will always quote based on the very best quality with sufficient time to complete the project to our standards but we can often work within client constraints as long as we are made aware of them from the start.
We work to the standard 'Time - Cost - Quality' model. If you are not aware of that term it means that you can pick any two whilst sacrificing the third. Please bear that in mind when offering information.
How do I pay you?
Payment, unless agreed otherwise, is on delivery of the finished product. Failure to pay within 14 days of delivery will incur a 10% fee of the outstanding balance with a further 10% every 14 days until the balance is settled.
When a 30 day invoice is offered, the balance must be settled within 30 days of issue or a 10% charge will be applied. A further 10% charge will be added every 30 days until the outstanding balance has been paid.
For projects lasting more than 30 days or which have a value exceeding £3,000 a deposit will be required and interim payments on approval of pre-determined key stages.
Payments should be made via cheque (check) or BACS (wire) transfer. Full details will be made available in the invoice. Please inform us imediately if anything is likely to delay payment.
PayPal payment is available at an additional charge of 5%.
