Changes to the current website and possible effects on service.

The current website, although working well, was only ever a temporary step towards a better overall online showcase of the services offered by Eggbox Studios.

The website is built on a very solid CMS core which allows content to be updated quickly and easily, meaning that more time can be used creating great computer graphics and less time performing regular maintainence and web optimization. Because of how the website works it is possible to easily change the layout and design of the entire site whilst keeping all of the existing content intact, for that reason more time was spent on developing the foundations of the site than designing a pretty interface...although it's certainly no ugly duckling

A fresh design is currently being created, allowing for larger gallery images, higher definition animations and an easier to navigate, less cluttered interface. It should be quite a smooth transition but there might be some little glitches along the way and some of the older content might not get updated to 'HD' immediately but it will be worth it in the end.

Hopefully the relaunch will coincide with some NDA's being lifted on recent projects, I'm just itching to showthem off

Anyway, enough with the smilies, back to work on the new site.

If you're a regular visitor you will have noticed that the web site layout has been updated.

So far it seems that everything went as expected with only an hour or so of down time. The content will gradually get updated as time allows and disclosure agreements are cleared, in the meantime ping us an email if you spot any problems.
